The Naming Of Parts
Chuck Leaning’s artifacts emerged from the land when he was ploughing the Ministry of Defence-owned land in Harrington, de-commissioned in the 1960s. Electric parts of bomber , tools and rusty bits of metal, were kept in a plastic fertilizer bag for his grandchildren.

Bottled In Time
At the corner of the Harrington air base was the old Fox Inn, demolished to keep away prying eyes. Old clay and glass bottles from the pub were found buried in its cellar and in the woods. These have been collected by numerous people and can be seen in many antique shops in the locality. Most of these bottles come from a John Thubron's collection.

On The Run
This collection was acquired during Gina Glover's morning run along old concrete runways. Holding a plastic bag, she retrieved an array of discarded objects. Some date from the war, such as the occasional canon shell, others are modern day: cartridge cases left behind by clay and pheasant shoots, bits of cars and bikes, remnants of farming and discarded junk and food packets, the gifts of passing motorists.

Living Earth
Geof Rayner's vegetable patch unearths the occasional wartime rusty spanner, but his collection focuses on organic vegetables, remnants of his losing battle with weeds and slugs.
